Mario here! just found your website! looking for a new filter for my 45 gallon tank. I have a fresh water brackish setup. I'm currently in the market for a 125 gallon tank as well because my fish are growing by the minute!!

welcome to the forums, i run 2 penguin biowheels, each rated for 50 gallons on 46 gallon tank and it works great, or if you want to spend the money go with a canister filter

I actually want to buy a filter setup sufficient enough to run a 125 gallon setup on my current setup untill I purchase the new tank. My current filter is terrible and my water is constantly cloudy...

Hello Mario, Welcome to AC!! So glad you joined our site. Hope to see you posting around the forum...lol
Also I dont know if this might help but if your tank is in a well lit area(lots of sun) you dont need your hood light on during the day...it can cause cloudy water. I know you said it was the filter but I figured I'd try and help if I could.

Thanks aqua Queen! I think I heard that advice before but I forgot. Usually my light stays on for 14-15 hours a day! I only have 1 window in my room and the tank isn't near it so it doesn't provide a whole lot of light. I usually turn the light on first thing when i wake up around 10am and i dont turn it off untill i get home from work around 11:30pm close to 12am! Ill try it out and let you know! I also bought a new 70 gal aqua clear filter in addition to my penplax 300 filter. I have another aqua clear 70 gal filter that im gonna hook up in substitution of the penplax! hopefully that in addition only keeping the tank light on 8 hours will make the tank less cloudy!! Thank again for all the help!!! :luxlove:
