A different Clown Loach Question

When I was a kid we bought something called a clown loach, but it did not look like the clown loaches I find on here. It looked more like an eel/snake, but had the same 'Nemo' body coloring. Does anyone know what it was I had?

(Assuming the spelling used on this website is "Coolie") That is pretty darn close. The body type is spot on, the coloring is a bit off, but then again maybe my memory of the fish is a bit off.

5 inches it a little too big for my tank however...

They get 5 inches long but remain close to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick, so it may not be a problem for 1 or 2. They do seem happier in groups.
