Going to a new lfs today, well its more of a guy with a garage and house full of tanks. He imports fish from everywhere and I still haven't found a bad review on him.

One thing he does advertise though is a 30cm L027 with a pricetag of £500 (approx 600-700$) it looks like a white royal with black stripes, not your usual green bodied royal.

Is that even a tiny bit close to a decent price? I can't imagine any fish being worth that!

Hopefully I will see it today, all his other prices are exceptional for e.g - denison barbs £6, 10 neons £4, clown loaches £4.50, blue acaras £2.50, Long fin BN's £10 . . . . Better take my wallet!:hmm3grin2orange:

Seems about 4 times the price it should be. How big is it?

EDIT: Ah, sorry you did say. 30cm....that's pretty huge! I reckon I'd consider a third of the price for a plec that size.

WOW... £500 is about $790.00 CND / USD.

That is a lot of money for a single fish

big plecos (except for commons) always cost alot. they grow fairly slow and take a long time to get to that size. zebras and blue eyed plecs are up there in price aswell.

does the guy have any asian arowana? that pleco might be cheap compared to some gold and red aros. :hmm3grin2orange:
